Toronto -- Publicly urinating on one of our most sacred monuments, the National War Memorial in Ottawa, is undoubtedly a disrespectful act, regardless of intent and mental state (Dishonouring Memorial 'A Terrible Thing,' PM Says -- July 4). Our veterans deserve the utmost respect for their supreme sacrifice, so we have the freedom to be merry not only on July 1 but every day of our lives.
