Rookie shows veteran poise

TORONTO -- Toronto Blue Jays rookie Travis Snider is more passionate about baseball than football, but the all-round athlete certainly brings a gridiron mentality to the diamond.The 20-year-old, a former high-school football star, exhibited as much in his debut performance at the Rogers Centre last night. He had three hits, including two late-game smashes, in only his third major-league game to help steer the Jays to a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins in 11 innings.
