Vancouver Art Gallery announces Douglas Coupland visual art exhibition Add to ...

Protean and prolific Vancouver-based artist Douglas Coupland is getting his first-ever survey of his visual art next year at the Vancouver Art Gallery, it was announced Thursday. Coupland, 51, shot to fame first as writer in 1991 with the publication of his debut novel, Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture, but in the last 13 years he’s gained international attention for his multidisciplinary visual art and design projects. The VAG show, running May 31 through Sept. 1, 2014, is titled Douglas Coupland: everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything.
