CBC-TV's hit sitcom Little Mosque on the Prairie will begin airing in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland this year, the show's producer said yesterday.

Netherlands Public Broadcasting has acquired Seasons 1 and 2 of Little Mosque, which will be dubbed or subtitled in Dutch, Toronto-based WestWind Pictures said.

The first two seasons are also set to air in Belgium on the premium pay network BeTV with French subtitles.

Season 1 of the show will be broadcast in Switzerland with German subtitles by broadcaster Schweizer Fernsehen.

Little Mosque airs in more than 80 markets globally, including French-speaking Africa, the Middle East and several European countries.
