Toronto's International Festival of Authors took a page from the city's other major festivals by giving a sneak peek well in advance of the authors coming to town between Oct. 17 and 27.
Michael Ondaatje, Will Self, A.L. Kennedy, Justin Cartwright, Tracy Chevalier and Daniel Handler were among the novelists already confirmed to appear. Others include Amy Bloom and Michael Winter, along with A.M. Homes, Cees Nooteboom and others.
The grand opening PEN Canada benefit on Oct. 17 will feature a conversation between writers Ian Rankin and Margaret Atwood. Also part of the larger festival is YoungIFOA, a festival of writers for young readers.
