Up (2009)
In this wonderful computer-animated feature, a curmudgeon (Ed Asner) has lost the love of his life. He attaches balloons to his house and drifts away, only to find that a stray boy has inadvertently hitched a ride. Both the Blu-ray and DVD versions offer a new cartoon, Dug's Special Mission , in which the dog encountered by man and boy in the movie gets his own adventure, channelling the anarchic spirit of old Looney Tunes cartoons. The Blu-ray has several exclusive extras, including a geography game.
Logan's Run (1976)
In the 23rd century, life ends at 30. One minute you're enjoying life in a huge dome, and the next you're being told to report for extermination because you're no longer 29. Logan (Michael York) is a Sandman, assigned to hunt and kill runners who would rather flee the dome than die. Is there life outside the known world? Ah, that would be telling. The cast of this sci-fi action flick includes Peter Ustinov as a sage of sorts, Jenny Agutter as the love interest and Farrah Fawcett-Majors as a worker.
