Dion pregnant, 'full of joy' Add to ...

Pop megastar Celine Dion will give birth to her long-awaited second child in May, a spokeswoman told The Canadian Press on Tuesday.

Dion and her husband Rene Angelil found out about the pregnancy on Monday after the best-selling singer underwent fertility treatment in New York.

The sex of the baby was not immediately known.

"Celine is very, very happy," said Murielle Blondeau, a spokeswoman with the Bureau de Francine Chaloult, which handles media relations for the singer in Quebec.

"Celine and Rene are full of joy. It's been a big dream for Celine to have a second child."

Dion's first child, Rene-Charles, started private school this week in Florida.

He was also conceived by in vitro fertilization at the same New York clinic eight years ago.

Dion, 41, is the youngest of 14 children.
