Justin Bieber has found a director for his first foray into film.

Jon Chu, the director of Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D, will helm a 3D film about the 16-year-old pop star from Stratford, Ont.

The Paramount production is currently scheduled for release on Feb. 11, 2011.

Bieber and Chu made the announcement in a YouTube video and through their Twitter accounts.

Chu and his team also announced that they'll be shooting Bieber at his Madison Square Garden concert on Aug. 31.

"As you probably know, I'm doing a movie," Bieber said in the YouTube clip, before introducing Chu. "And you know, I'm wondering, why's this guy following me around? Turns out, he's the director of the movie. And his name's Jon."
