Iceland is dark, even without the Megadeth and Judas Priest soundtrack. From the director Ragnar Bragason comes a subtitled rural family drama about an outcast teenage girl who answers her heavy grief with heavy metal and hell-raising tractor rides. If Siskel and Ebert were still a thing, they might give this film two devil-signs up. (14A, Carlton)
Hermitage Revealed: 250 Years in the Making
To celebrate its 250th anniversary, the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia opened its doors to filmmaker Margy Kinmonth, who parts crowds with her cameras for a documentative guided tour that focuses on the palace's history, art and architecture, with a peek at the gemstones of Catherine, back when she was great.
