The TSO's Sibelius Festival continues Saturday with a lavish program including the famous tone-poem Finlandia, performed by the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra and Sibelius Festival Chorus. Thomas Dausgaard will also conduct the TSO in the Third and Fourth Symphonies, and violinist Pekka Kuusisto will rejoin the orchestra for two more occasional pieces: Cantique and Devotion, Op. 77 Nos. 1 and 2.
The festival concludes April 21 and 22 with the TSO under Dausgaard in the last three symphonies. Kuusisto will rejoin the orchestra in the Two Serenades, Op. 69.
