Ghost

RAJ, streaming here

No ghost has ever been seen by more than one set of eyes, and the mysterious singer RAJ at this point is being enjoyed by scattered people who have little confirmation of the man's existence.

Whoever he is, the Ghost is his only verification. The track begins with a scratchy loop of a child's voice, followed by a dryly struck electric guitar underneath ethereal vocals.

Its light-soul brooding initially recalls the elegantly down drama of City and Colour, but the song picks up a slow whacking beat and eventually opens into a tense swirl of emotion and dark sound.

It ends with a rippling effect, and then an abrupt cut-out. He's gone. RAJ, we hardly knew you. Maybe that's the point.
