REALITY Undercover Boss: Abroad TLC, 7 p.m. ET; 11 p.m. PT Watch your back: There are sneaky bosses all over the world. Working off the success of CBS's Undercover Boss (which itself was adapted for American audiences from a hit U.K. program), this spinoff is compiled of franchise entries recently filmed in Australia and Canada. As per the original series template, each episode in the series involves an executive leaving behind the boardroom for an undercover mission to slip in among the rank and file of the company he or she runs. Tonight's show travels down under to profile Tony Braxton-Smith, the CEO of Great Southern Rail, which runs train services all over Australia. On his stint undercover, the exec tackles several menial duties, including scrubbing toilets and unloading boxcars, but his mission nearly becomes derailed when a sharp-eyed train chef seems to recognize him. Oops!
REALITY World's Toughest Trucker Discovery, 8 p.m. ET; 9 p.m. PT In the spirit of Ice Road Truckers, Deadliest Catch and countless other reality shows about brawny lads in gruelling vocations, this new series purports to find the world's top truck driver. Each episode pits truckers from all over the world – including the U.S., Scotland, Sri Lanka and, yes, Canada – taking on a harrowing three-day challenge in some far-flung destination. Tonight's series opener was filmed in Australia and follows the truckers racing against the clock to transport wild cattle right across the Outback. Along the way, they encounter flat tires, overheated engines, dust clouds and open river crossings. G'day, mates!
