Da Vinci's Inquest
Bravo!, 7 p.m.
One of the best dramas ever aired on Canadian television, this series starring Nicholas Campbell as a crusading Vancouver coroner holds up remarkably well on repeat viewing. Tonight's episode marks a memorable guest turn by Fred Ewanuick, who went on to star in Corner Gas and, more recently, Dan for Mayor. The affable Ewanuick plays a luckless caretaker who discovers a dead body in the brush at a house he's minding. Although he's reluctant to divulge any more details, the cops on the case realize it's because the house is a high-tech grow operation. Ah, Vancouver.
My First Place
HGTV, 8 p.m.
Remember the thrill of moving into your first home? Real-estate veteran Jill Cordes hosts this program, which helps viewers navigate the inevitable problems that arise for first-time homebuyers. Tonight's episode focuses on the couple Justin and Kelly, who are house-shopping near Portland, Ore. Complicating their search is the fact that Justin is determined to get a cheap deal and insists on putting in bids far lower than market value. The couple change their approach when they lose out on two perfect properties by astically underbidding. Lesson learned.
