ANIMATED Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown YTV, 8 p.m. ET/PT Timely viewing on the most romantic night of the year, this animated perennial is still sweeter than a heart-shaped box of chocolates. First broadcast in 1975, the special finds each member of the precocious Peanuts gang navigating varying stages of grade-school l'amour. Linus is oblivious to the affections of Sally, though completely smitten by his new teacher, Miss Othmar, while Lucy tries to strong-arm the piano prodigy Schroeder into becoming her boyfriend. And poor old Charlie Brown is humiliated yet again when he doesn't receive a Valentine from the little red-haired girl, or anyone else. Good grief.

COMEDY Cougar Town ABC, CITY-TV, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT You can only keep a cougar under wraps for so long, you know. Back tonight for its third season, this sitcom starring ex-Friends regular Courteney Cox as a newly-single forty-something has its flaws, but still holds a solid viewer following. In the first new show, Cox's character of Jules is irked when her hunky neighbour and guy pal Grayson (Josh Hopkins) calls her “predictable.” In other news, Jules's best friend and neighbour Ellie (Christa Miller) is worried that baby Stan is becoming a “devil child.”

DRAMA Body of Proof ABC, CITY-TV, 10 p.m. ET/PT Still pulling impressive ratings each Tuesday night, this crime drama stars former Desperate Housewives regular Dana Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt, a world-class neurosurgeon reduced to working as a medical examiner in Philadelphia. It's obvious the show's writers are planning for an extended run, since no fewer than four male love interests have been tested against Delany's character in the first season and a half. In tonight's episode, Dr. Hunt goes behind the scenes of a popular Italian restaurant whose owner turned up dead in the kitchen freezer. The victim's family, she discovers, was hiding more than a recipe for gnocchi.

MOVIE When in Rome W, 10 p.m. ET/PT Silly and frilly, this 2010 romantic comedy is the perfect movie to close out Valentine's Day. Former Veronica Mars regular Kristen Bell plays the unattached art curator Beth, who travels to Italy to attend her sister's wedding. While there, she meets the handsome Nick (Josh Duhamel) and plucks some coins from a fountain, only to discover later that local legend decrees that the original owners of the coins are destined to become her suitors. Once back in New York, Beth discovers the legend is true as she's wooed and pursued by a sausage-maker (Danny DeVito), a magician (Jon Heder), a painter (Will Arnett) and a model (Dax Shepard).
