At last, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival's hit production of Jesus Christ Superstar began previews last week at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York. But for every actor or director who sees Broadway as the pinnacle of the profession, there's another who derides New York's famed theatre district as an overpriced theme park living on past glories.
