Jane Taber is The Globe and Mail's Atlantic Bureau chief. She has been with the Globe since 2002. Most of her career has been spent covering politics on Parliament Hill - first with the Ottawa Citizen, the National Post and then the Globe. For nearly seven years, Jane was also the co-host of CTV's Question Period. She and CTV's chief political correspondent, Craig Oliver, spent every Sunday morning together grilling politicians about the issues of the day. After 25 years of writing about politicians, covering election campaigns and numerous leadership campaigns, however, she wanted to try something a little different. The Atlantic opportunity came up and she pushed for it. She relocated to Halifax in February 2012. Jane is married to a Haligonian; she and her husband have two children.
