Prior to joining the newspaper, he worked in Toronto as executive editor at Canadian Business magazine and editor-at-large at Report on Business magazine. In a previous stint on the west coast, Matt was an editor at BCBusiness, Vancouver and Western Living magazines and taught non-fiction writing at Langara College and Capilano University.
