Single and sick of online dating or yet another dreadful setup? Don't know where to turn next?

Girls, don't discount your car — it's a great way to attract attention and make a statement. So if you're stuck in a rut, consider some new wheels; it could be a good investment in your future.

Here is my list of top 10 'guy magnets' — and by the way, fellas, these are wheels you'll want to get behind, too.

10) Lamborghini Gallardo

The Gallardo isn't for the environmentally conscious or budget wary buyer. But if you have money to burn, this is the car to buy. No man has ever ignored the fighting bull; you can't miss its bold design or the deep growl of its engine.

Bring along a friend for the ride and every guy will do a double take; you rarely see two women in a Lamborghini.

The price is steep; it'll set you back more than $250,000 for the coupe.

9) Audi R8

If the Lambo is out of your price range, check out the all-new Audi R8. It's a cheaper alternative. I use the word "cheaper" loosely; the base price is $139,000.

Still the R8 shares some of its DNA with its cousin, the Gallardo, so you'll still get the guys gawking at the R8's in-your-face, impossible-to-ignore look and intoxicating sound.

8) Dodge Ram

Guys dig chicks in big trucks. If I had a loonie for every time I heard that, I'd be rich.

Sure it's not exactly practical, unless you're in construction or farming. But most guys agree, there's nothing sexier than a woman driving a pickup.

For the environment's sake, I'd skip the Hemi engine — but go for the decals; you can buy them on e-Bay to make it look like you're driving a Hemi. So when a guy asks, 'Is that a Hemi?', you'll have something to talk about.

The baby of the big trucks, a Ram 1500 ST 4X2, costs $20,995

7) Honda S2000

This is a true sports car with a classic, contemporary look. It'll never go out of style. In fact, its exterior design hasn't changed much since it hit the road in 2000. But inside, it's cool, funky, and futuristic.

This rear-wheel-drive roadster will stop guys in their tracks — even when it's parked. Go for a manual transmission and you'll really knock their socks off.

There's only one trim available and it costs $50,600.

6) Cadillac Escalade

Sure, a huge gas-guzzling SUV may not be a single girl's first pick, but the Escalade captivates young and old men alike.

Skip the traditional black and go for Vanilla white instead. Add some bling with monster wheels to really stand out from the crowd — they're like jewellery for that perfect little black dress.

If you're concerned about the environment and your gas consumption, wait for the all-new Escalade Hybrid to join the family later this fall. Prices aren't available yet, but expect to pay slightly more than its gas-powered sibling, at $72,175.

5) Infiniti G37

When a new vehicle hits the road, it always garners attention in all directions. And Infiniti's stunning G37 coupe is no exception.

It replaces the outgoing G35 coupe, but it's bolder, fresher, and more fun to drive. Plus, it has four seats and plenty of cargo space for a coupe, too. If you need more room, the rear seats fold down to make room for two sets of golf clubs.

The price of the G37 coupe starts at $47,350.

4) BMW 3-Series coupe

This stylish new coupe gets lots of looks, especially from other BMW drivers.

The price is steep for a 3-Series, but it's sexy as well as decent on gas, even for the AWD version. The base 328i coupe costs $43,600; the all-wheel-drive is slightly more, at $46,100.

Skip silver or boring old black and go for a stunning shade of Monaco Blue — it's an irresistible head turner.

3) Saturn Sky

For those on a tight budget, here's an affordable two-seat roadster; it costs only $33,125. The aggressive, in-your-face styling is impossible to miss; it'll solicit waves and conversations everywhere — even at stop lights. If you're addicted to speed, go for the more powerful Red Line trim. At $38,380, it costs more, but the extra power boost is worth it; it adds oomph and will up the wow factor for the guys.

2) Porsche Boxster

The Porsche name carries cachet; and the Boxster is well-priced. Starting at $58,100, it's reasonable, compared with the competition. I also love its two innovative trunks — one at the front and one at the rear so there's extra luggage space for a weekend getaway.

Since you rarely see women behind the wheel of a Porsche, the Boxster will have every other Porsche driver doing double takes your way.

1) Ford Mustang GT500 convertible

Sure, it oozes testosterone and the styling is over the top for some, but it's a winner when it comes to attracting the opposite sex.

Guys can't resist its giant hood scoop, massive hefty wheels, or the deep grumble from its exhaust.

It's pure muscle power that'll stop guys instantly. With these wheels, I met the most men and even landed a marriage proposal from a stranger at a gas station. The price is $58,399.

So remember, a car isn't just a mode of transportation — it's an investment, an accessory, if you will. It'll garner compliments and make you stand taller and prouder. If you buy the right one, it will definitely pay off in the long run.
