Pasha Malla, Jeramy Dodds win Trilliums
Toronto writer Pasha Malla has won the $20,000 Trillium Book Award for his book of short stories The Withdrawal Method.
Jeramy Dodds of Orono, Ont., picked up the poetry prize – worth $10,000 – for his collection Crabwise to the Hounds (Coach House Books). Dodds was nominated for the Griffin Poetry Prize, which was awarded earlier this month.
Marguerite Andersen won the French-language Trillium Book Award for Le figuier sur le toit (Les Editions L'Interligne).
Paul Prud'Homme was the winner of the Trillium Book Award for French-language Children's Literature for Les Rebuts: Hockey 2 (Les Editions du Vermillon).
The awards were announced at a luncheon in Toronto.
