TD Securities lands Merrill veteran
Andrew Willis
The equity capital markets team at TD Securities picked up a new syndication manager last week, as Kosta Galanis moved over from Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Galanis is following a path blazed by his boss, as TD Securities head of equity capital markets Sante Corona joined the investment dealer from Merrill Lynch several years ago.
A syndication manager works with counterparts at rivals firms to co-ordinate the structure and sale of financings. It’s a job that takes diplomatic skills, along with financial acumen, as dealers must work together after competing hard to win an underwriting mandate.
This move was first noted on the Bill’s Buzz blog run by executive search firm Vlaad and Co. TD Securities is the investment dealer arm of Toronto-Dominion Bank TD-T.
