Canadians may have woken up with a great reality jolt that indeed, there are, perhaps a few homegrown terrorists living in our big cities plotting to carry out an attack somewhere in the Toronto area. For a long time we have been under the illusion that not participating in the Iraq war would save us.

These arrests give us all reason for alarm. It's high time we looked seriously at homegrown terrorism, the perverted ideology we are dealing with and how to fight it.
