Re A Big Dart To DART (letters -- Dec. 30): I have just one question for all those knee-jerk, indignant Canadians so incensed over the government's decision to hold off before sending the Disaster Assistance Response Team. Where exactly would you send the team? With what orders? To work with what agency?

I can just see the same complainers blaming the government for acting rashly, had the DART been sent prematurely and become stuck in the mud in Asia.

If you have to give in to a reflex, how about this one: Send cash. As much as you can.
