A new way to share Globe news with your Google circles

Globe and Mail Update

By nature, Globe and Mail journalists like to share. In our view, journalism is all about sharing, whether it’s getting the word out about the latest dust-up on Parliament Hill or a take on Islam and society.

And Globe and Mail readers feel the same. They’re already avid sharers of Globe news among their social networking circles, and aren’t shy about sharing their own opinions – to the tune of more than 13,000 comments a day at globeandmail.com.

So we’re making it even easier for readers to share the stories and opinions that matter to them. As of today, you’ll notice Google+ sharing buttons on all of our article pages, and a link on our website to The Globe and Mail’s Google+ headquarters.

That button enables readers with a Google+ profile to share stories of interest with the circles of people they've connected with via Google's them with the people they've connected with via Google's social platform. For more details about what Google+ is all about, click here.

We’re looking forward to finding more ways to enable sharing and engagement using Google+, including giving readers the opportunity to interact live with The Globe and Mail via Google hangouts.
