Few could have foreseen the teams in this year's Stanley Cup Finals: the Los Angeles Kings and the New Jersey Devils.

Are the Kings really the NHL's most successful eighth-seed team in history? And do the Devils even have a chance to stop LA's hot streak?

On Thursday, the morning after Game 1 of the series, you'll be able to talk about it with two of the Globe's hockey writers in a live video chat.

James Mirtle, based in Toronto, has been with the Globe since 2005 and specializes in new media and statistical analysis.

Eric Duhatschek, based in Calgary, has been covering hockey since 1978, including 19 Stanley Cup finals. He'll be joining us from New York.
