Peter Stastny, age 50, was Mayor of the township of Sutton from 1993 to 1997. He lives in Lac Brome. He graduated in Business Administration from Bishop’s University, in Lennoxville, and managed, with his wife Roxanne, the Emporium in Sutton and Knowlton. For two years, he managed the ski station of Mont Glen, in Bolton West. Before settling in Sutton, Mr. Stastny owned and operated many car agencies in Quebec and Ontario.
In addition to be a director of the MRC of Brome-Missisquoi for four years and a member of its Executive Committee for two years, Mr. Stastny was the founding President of the Forestry Agency of the Montérégie, President of the Corporation of Economic Development of Sutton, and President of the Chamber of Commerce of Lac Brome.
Mr. Stastny is Chairman of the Committee of Employability and Community Economic Development of the Eastern Townships, and was active in the Lac Brome Theater, the Optimist Club of Sutton, the Board of the School of Sutton, and Sutton Park.
Peter Stastny and his wife Roxanne have two children, Margaux and Matthew.
