Mr. Bernier has a diploma from the University of Montreal. He is specialized in law and industrial relations.

In the business world, he has acted as a Manager and a Director. He is currently Executive Director for Olympic McMaster.

In the past, Mr. Bernier worked as legal consultant in work relations. He has also served as a member of the Canadian Forces, mostly in the areas of Tactical Intelligence.
