Tanya Parks was born in Winnipeg and is a small business owner at the Forks Market. Ms. Parks is one of the original entrepreneurs and small business (founding) tenants of this downtown Winnipeg Development site. She was a provincial candidate for the Liberal Party of Manitoba in Concordia in 2003. Ms. Parks has been an active volunteer in various charities over the years. She is a strong advocate for Women’s and Human Rights issues and has worked to create opportunity for minority women for much of her life. She strongly believes that small business is a key to a sustained and healthy economy locally and globally.
