· With his family, operates a farm in the Northern Light district, south of Birch Hills

· Has worked as a mines inspector and manager of the Northern Mines Monitoring Secretariat

· Established his own environmental consulting firm, specializing in decommissioning and rehabilitating mines and conducting environmental impact assessments

· Served as the technical advisor to one of Canada’s largest public review panels appointed by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.
