Ted Haney received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1982 and his Master of Science in Agriculture Economics in 1991, both from the University of Alberta.
He is currently the President of the Canada Beef Export Federation. In addition, he has senior management responsibility for the operation of the Federation's six international offices.
Before joining the Canada Beef Export Federation in 1992, he worked as an agricultural consultant in Canada and Asia. In this role, he gained extensive domestic and international experience, completing business evaluations of agri-food ventures, farm management, rural appraisal and economic analysis assignments.
In addition to this, he is an active member of his community. He is currently a member of the International Agriculture Committee at the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, supporter of the United Way of Calgary, supporter of cancer and respiratory research, and member of his local church community.
Ted's personal and professional experiences have shown he is an individual that puts a high priority on integrity and performance. His commitment to Calgary, and to Calgary Nose-Hill in particular, will be a tremendous asset as he prepares to take on a new challenge as Member of Parliament for Calgary Nose-Hill.
Ted Haney was born and raised on a mixed farm in Southern Alberta. His wife Lori and three teenage children have made Calgary Nose-Hill their home for twelve years.
