· Born in Vancouver and raised in Burnaby, B.C. and Barrhead, Alberta
· Received a Bachelor of Education degree in Home Economics from University of Alberta in 1980
· Secondary school teacher in Edmonton and New Sarepta 1980-1985; currently substitute teacher for Battle River Regional School Division
· Coordinator of the Camrose and Area Further Education Council, 1986-90
· Founding member of the Waste Reduction Action Committee in Camrose; member, City of Camrose Recycling Committee in early 1990s; active in establishing a recycling depot
· For over 10 years, chairperson of local 10 Days for Global Justice Committee (now KAIROS); Prairies Regional Representative on National Board, 1992-94
· Member of Camrose International Institute Board, 2001-present; CII Schools Liaison, 1991-2, 1994-5
· Passionate global activist, participating in campaigns for fair trade, gender equality, aboriginal rights, peace and international debt cancellation; KAIROS representative at People's Summit in Cologne, 1999 and the G6B Summit in Calgary, 2002
· Avid supporter of Canada World Youth, hosting participants from across Canada, as well as India, Ukraine, Poland, Sri Lanka, and Mexico
· With husband Tim, proud parent of two teenagers.
