Live Federal Election results beginning at 10:00 PM EST on January 23rd
Welcome to globeandmail.com's 2006 election results centre. This year, we are pleased to offer many new tools: You can now get personalized results by adding up to 10 races to your My Ridings screen -- watch these races come alive on election night. We have a comprehensive list of Ridings to Watch, where we showcase what's expected to be the most interesting races.
We also offer an innovative Riding Tracker, where you can see every seat in the country in one page -- and we'll let you play with it and see the races unfold in your local region. So on election night, turn on your TV and turn to us as your election results centre.
Federal Results
 After 10 p.m. EST, this page will come alive with results pouring in from all 308 ridings. Check this page to get live national results or to get the final today when it's all done.
Provinces and territories
 Interested in seeing how the race broke down? You can get a recap of party standings -- including number of votes, percentage of popular vote and seats taken -- in each of the 10 provinces and three territories. This will be live on election night.
Riding Grid 
 An innovative way to look at election results. At 10 p.m. EST, you will see a live electoral map of the country change colour as the night progresses. By province, you can select from more than 20 regions, such as the Vancouver area, Ontario's 905, Calgary, Montreal and Laval. By riding, you will be able to look at results and add them to My Ridings.

 Explore election results by using our map. Move your mouse over each province to see overall results. Then, you can click on your province and pull up your local race.
My Ridings 
 Personalize your results viewing. You can add up to 10 races to your list from our 308 riding pages, our Ridings to Watch list and the Riding tracker. You can easily add and remove ridings to your list. And before election night, feel free to preselect the races you want to follow. For suggestions on what races to follow, you can go to Ridings to Watch.
Ridings to Watch 
 Whether you're a political junkie or a rookie observer, this feature will have items of interest. In it, we have compiled the most interesting races nationwide, and it all updates live on eleciton night. See the five Globe bellwethers, the leaders, the star candidates, the entire Liberal Cabinet, the politically noteworthy races to watch. You will also find a list of swing ridings for each of the major parties.
Close Races
 Will there be squeakers in this election? Go to this page and you will find all the close races in the country that are within 5 percentage points. Track it live for updates as the night wears on.
