Patrick East grew up in Northern Ontario. Patrick’s parents were both born in Quebec, and his heritage led to him learning French and deciding to study French at the University of Toronto.
After five years at the U of T, he travelled widely. He currently works as a caregiver for a local quadriplegic woman.
He is also a member of the Ontario Métis Aboriginal Association.
