The 6.2L V-8 engine produces an estimated 455 hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. It will go from zero to 60 mph in under 4 seconds.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has carbon fibre hoods on all models, and removable roof panel for coupes.
There are five settings the driver can choose, depending on conditions: Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport and Track.
The Stingray has a six-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission. European models are sold with a seven-speed manual transmission. In other markets, a six-speed automatic paddle-shift transmission is also available.
18 x 8.5-inch front and 19 x 10-inch rear wheels are standard, with 19 x 8.5-inch front and 20 x 10-inch rear forged aluminum wheels available with the Z51 Performance Package. Brembo brakes are standard.
Manufacturing, by the numbers: 354 spot welds, 188 fasteners installed with a high-speed drill, 113 feet of structural adhesives, and 37 feet of laser welds joining frame sections.
The electronic top lowers remotely.
