In photos: Vintage Ferrari expected to fetch $17 million to headline stunning Italian auction
The 1961 Ferrari California Spider SWB is just one of 16 Ferraris and 40 total lots that will be auctioned off at the RM Sotheby's Villa Erba auction. It will be held on an Italian estate along the shores of Lake Como on May 23. "The words 'California Spider' are synonymous with 'L Dolce Vita' and the finest motoring experience that can be imagined," said Peter Wallman, car specialist for RM Sotheby's, in a statement. "Perhaps the most beautiful convertible car ever made." Here are a selection of vehicles up for auction. All prices are converted to Canadian dollars from the Euros list price on the RM Sotheby's website.
