Ford was the big winner on Thursday, winning four of 11 categories at AJAC’s annual TestFest.
More than 80 automotive writers, all members of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada, gathered in Niagara-On-The-Lake to test 180 new 2013 model year vehicles to determine winners in 11 categories. One of these category winners will be named Canadian Car of the Year and another the Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year on Feb. 14 at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.
“The week-long process results in unbiased and accurate information that equips Canadian consumers with readily accessible objective data that can be used as a reliable resource when shopping for a new vehicle,” said Richard Russell, chair of the awards program, in a statement. Russell is also a Globe Drive writer. “The process and program have evolved over more than two decades and each year becomes more exacting and informative.”
