Honda announced Canadian pricing on Friday for seven trim levels of the 2015 Fit subcompact, ranging from $14,495 to $22,595 for the Fit EX-L Navi CVT.
The car will be available in dealerships on Sept. 19. A pre-sale package, available starting Aug. 8, includes a six-year/100,000-kilometre extended warranty.
New this model year is a 130-horsepower, 1.5-litre engine with fuel economy rating of 6.4 litres/100 km (combined, city and highway) in the LX model with continuously variable transmission. Natural Resources Canada ratings for other trim levels jumps to 6.8 and 7.3 litres/100 km.
The horsepower is improved 11 per cent over the 2014 model. This is for the LX model Overall passenger volume and rear-seat leg room have been increased.
The company says a longer wheelbase and alterations to the suspension have improved the ride. There are two newly developed transmissions: six-speed manual and the CVT.
Manufactured in Celaya, Mexico, the 2015 Fit now offers standard and optional features in line with the DX, LX, EX and EX-L Navi trims on other Honda models. A rear-view camera and Bluetooth technology come standard.
