Bank of Montreal says customers are now able to withdraw money from their accounts as it works to fix a problem with its automated systems.Spokesman Ralph Marranca says customers can "access their accounts in-branch, via ATMs, through mobile devices, credit cards and at point of sale."

Earlier in the day customers were unable to log into their online banking accounts or use banking machines.

The outage began around 10:30 a.m. ET and customers were able to regain access just before 1 p.m.

Several customers from Vancouver to Toronto to Quebec tweeted that they were unable to make purchases using their debit and credit cards.
