An unidentified airline has ordered three new C series aircraft from Bombardier Inc., and taken options on another three, raising the number of firm orders for the plane to 103.

The order is worth $186-million (U.S.) and could increase to $385-million if three options on the plane are also taken up, Bombardier said in a statement Tuesday.

The C series, which will carry between 100 and 149 passengers, will into service in 2013. Deliveries to the unidentified airline will start in 2014.
