CAE Inc. says it has sold four flight simulators to customers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Australia.
The Montreal-based company announced Wednesday that the contracts are worth more than $70-million, and bring the number of simulator sales during its current fiscal year to 15.
The four simulators include: an Airbus A380 to Thai Airways International, an Airbus A330 to the Gulf Aviation Academy, an Airbus A320 to Russian aviation equipment company NITA, and an Embraer Phenom 100 to the CAE Global Academy Perth flight school.
CAE says it has also signed contracts with various customers for updates of its simulators.
Company spokesman Jeff Roberts said the contracts reflect CAE’s continued expansion into emerging markets worldwide.
“We are also encouraged by the increasing number of customers who are leveraging CAE’s extensive technical expertise to update their simulators with enhanced training capabilities,” he said.
CAE employs more than 7,500 people at more than 100 sites and training locations in more than 20 countries.Report Typo/Error
