First Uranium Corp. says it has received conditional permission from South Africa's nuclear regulator to resume operations at its tailings storage sites.

Last week, First Uranium said its mine waste unit was ordered to stop disposing waste due to "alleged issues regarding pipeline maintenance and non-reporting."

First Uranium said Tuesday that the regulator agreed to lift the suspension on condition that the site adhere strictly to regulations and provide monthly inspection reports.

The South African National Nuclear Regulator will review the operations in one month to decide whether the conditions should be lifted.
