LowFund Objectives
The principal investment objective of the Fund is to maximize return in a manner which is consistent with the preservation of capital by investing primarily in Canadian equity securities. The Fund invests primarily in the securities of Canadian companies with exceptional track records and excellent potential for sustained growth. Current holdings focus on Canada's leading wealth management businesses. Demographic changes in Canada are providing long-term opportunities for firms which manage, service, protect and mediate the flow of the growing savings pool.

Michael Lee-Chin graduated from McMaster University in 1974 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. In 1977, he received his introduction into the Financial industry working as a Financial Planner for Investor's Group. Michael Lee-Chin moved to Regal Capital Planners in 1979 and became the Regional Manager. He acquired AIC Limited in 1987 and has taken the organization in the past 11 years from $3 million to over $12 billion in assets under management.

Greg Placidi joined AIC in September 2001, with nearly 15 years of financial services experience as a strategist, regulator and company executive. Greg is part of the management team for all Funds in AIC Advantage Group. Greg is also AIC's insurance specialist and is responsible for industry trends in the global insurance sector, making recommendations regarding potential insurance company investments or divestitures and evaluating the performance of AIC's insurance holdings across various AIC Funds. Greg earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1989 and has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University, and an MBA from University of Toronto.

Robert Almeida brings a strong business management perspective to the Portfolio Management Team. He is a former executive at Loblaw and CIBC. He worked in various strategic and operating capacities at Loblaw Companies Limited, most recently as Vice President, Development and Reengineering. He also worked for CIBC as Senior Vice President, where he was the first President of President's Choice Financial; Chief Officer, Strategy, Product and Marketing. Amicus Holdings USA; and the founding Chairman of Amicus Bank Canada. In addition to his CA designation, he also earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with High Distinction from the University of Toronto.

Chris Lowe joined AIC in October 2002 after 22 years in financial services, mostly with Barclays in areas of corporate, retail and investment banking, stock brokering and insurance brokerage. He was CEO of financial services businesses in Greece, Botswana and Jamaica. Chris' responsibilities centre on all Funds in AIC Advantage Group and include anticipating industry trends across global financial services; recommending potential investments or divestitures and monitoring and evaluating performance of AIC Funds' bank-based holdings. Chris has a BA degree from University of North Wales and an MBA from University of Exeter and holds their Financial Diploma.
