How can I register for a Watchlist?

To register for a Globe and Mail account, click on ‘Register’ located at the top right corner of the Globe and Mail website.

How do I login to my Watchlist?

To access your Watchlist, please login to your Globe and Mail account at www.globeandmail.com/login/ with your email address and password.

  1. Click on the Investing tab
  2. Then click on My Watchlist

I lost my Watchlist. Where can I find it? How do I switch between Watchlists?

  1. Click the Watchlist name located just above the orange box; A drop down menu will populate.
  2. Click on the Watchlists name that you wish to view

In order to keep track of your lists, we recommend renaming your Watchlist.

How do I add a stock or fund to my Watchlist?
  1. Go to the orange search box on the Watchlist and start typing in the name or symbol of a stock/fund.

    A range of options will pop up to make it easy for you to find the one you want.
  2. Click on the Stock or Fund
  3. Click on Add to Watchlist
How can I delete a stock/fund from the list?

To remove an item from your Watchlist, look to the right hand side and click on the X icon.

We'll ask you to confirm that you want to remove the stock before deleting it from the listing.

How to import to the Watchlist?

You can transfer your stocklists and fundlists to Watchlist in minutes;

  1. Login at www.GlobeInvestor.com/watchlist if you haven’t already registered, please do so.
  2. Once you’re at the Watchlist screen, click the button at the top of the screen that reads “Import to / Export Data.â€
  3. Select the stocklist or fundlist you want to move and click the “Import†button.
How do I compare stocks and ETF’s?
  1. In the Watchlist, click on the chart of the stock that you wish to compare
  2. Click on the Compare Tab
  3. Input the stock or ETF under the ‘View’ area
How can I alphabetize my Watchlist items?

To view your list in alphabetical order click on 'Company' and it will rearrange it to alphabetical order.

  • If you click it again, it will list the company from Z to A.
  • If you click it once more, it will list the symbols in alphabetical order
  • If you click it again, it will list the symbols from Z to A.
How can I view more stocks at a time?

To do this, you must change the number of items you wish to display, using the display option locate at the bottom right of each section.

You can view 10, 20, 30, 50 and 100 stocks or funds at a time.

How can I view additional data on my Watchlist? How do I change the View?
  1. Click on ‘VIEW’ located at the right corner of each section
  2. Choose the View you would like to show on your Watchlist
How can I export my Watchlist to my computer and print it?
  1. Click on ‘Import/Export’ button.
  2. Then Click on the ‘Export’ tab
  3. Choose what section you would like to print
  4. Click on Export

A file will automatically open, and you may print from this list.

How do I search for a stock?

You may find a stock by using the Stock Filter:

  1. Click on the Investing tab
  2. Click on Market
  3. Click on Stock Filter

How do I search for a fund?

You may find a fund by using the Fund Filter or Fund Look up Tool

  1. Click on the Investing tab
  2. Click on Market
  3. Fund Filter or Fund Lookup

Where can I find the 5 star ratings?

If you've already created a Watchlist, you may use this tool to view your stocks, funds or other investments.

The 5 star rating will be shown for funds on your Watchlist.

However, you can also view a list of the 5 star ratings by going to the Investing tab-then Funds & ETF's tab.
In the middle column you will see '5 Star Ratings'

If you would like to find the 5 star ratings for stocks, please go to the Investing tab-then Markets tab-then Stocks.
Click on the Stock Filter (when the drop down menu shows)
In the 'Report' drop down menu choose 'Price Report-5 star'

How can I find the 1 day, 5 day, and 52 week range?
  1. You must click on the arrow to choose the range.
