On Sept. 29, Pure Gold Mining Inc. announced it was increasing its exploration program at its 100-per-cent-owned Madsen project in the Red Lake mining district of Ontario with another 26,000 metres of drilling.

This should bring total 2016 drilling at Madsen to 77,000 metres.

On Oct. 14, Director Mark O'Dea bought 200,000 shares at $0.72. Mr. O'Dea is the third-largest insider equity holder with 1.81 per cent of shares outstanding. The company has highlighted recent drilling reports from Madsen which include 34.0 grams per tonne gold over 11.0 metres.
