(2 p.m. ET) U.S. releases its budget deficit for July, with consensus expecting $98-billion (U.S.), up from July 2013's $97.6-billion.

Japan releases real GDP for Q2, expected to be down 1.8 per cent and up 0.3 per cent year-over-year.

France releases its CPI index for July, expected to be down 0.4 per cent.
U.K. releases its jobless rate for July, expected to to be down to 6.4 per cent. from May's 6.5 per cent.
Bank of England releases its quarterly inflation report.
China releases industrial production for July, expected to be unchanged from May at a 9.2 per cent increase.
