The following is a daily rundown of the economic reports and corporate earnings that will be grabbing the market's attention in the week ahead.

Monday, Dec. 23

(830 a.m. ET) Canada releases GDP for October. The market expects a rise of 0.2 per cent from September.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. releases personal income and outlays. They are both forecast to rise 0.5 per cent.

(955 a.m. ET) University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Survey. A reading of 83.0 is expected, from the prior reading of 82.5.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. releases durable goods orders for November. They are expected to rise 3.3 per cent from October.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. releases new home sales.

Thursday, Dec. 26

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. releases jobless claims for last week.
