Jim, who is also head of Leith Wheeler's fixed income group, answered your questions on the best opportunities right now in fixed income investments and how to prepare your bond portfolio for the inevitable rise in interest rates.
Jim joined Leith Wheeler in 2009 and was previously with HSBC Asset Management/M.K. Wong & Associates in Vancouver and Barclays Global Investors (BGI) in San Francisco. During his more than two decades in wealth management, he has managed a team of money managers covering interest rate strategies, corporate credit, securitized credit, and emerging markets. He also launched and managed a fixed income hedge fund.
Jim earned his Masters degree in Financial Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
