Premier Gold Mines Ltd. is probably best known for its two flagship joint ventures with a Goldcorp affiliate in the Red Lake mining district of Ontario. However, it has also been focusing a fair amount of attention on Nevada this year. Recently, insiders have been buying. On July 3, chair Ebe Scherkus bought 50,000 shares in the public market at $4.63. Mr. Scherkus is a former president and chief operating officer at Agnico-Eagle Gold Mines. In addition, since June 28, two insiders have exercised options and have not sold.
