Ross Beaty, board chair of Pan American Silver Corp. has been buying shares in the Latin American miner as the stock trades above its 10-year low of $9.97. On Dec. 22, he bought 500,000 shares. For the third quarter, the company reported cash costs per ounce of $12.29 (U.S.), net of by-product credits. That helped to generate cash flow from operating activities of $38.3-million or 25 cents a share. Looking ahead , CEO Geoff Burns has said cash generation will be a key focus at each mine.
