Sandvine Corp. , which rose 7.5 per cent on Wednesday, announced today that it has won a significant initial order from a converged Asian service provider, whose broadband network ranks among the five largest in Asia.

Calvalley Petroleum Inc. , which rose 15 per cent yesterday, issued a statement that the company is not aware of any material undisclosed development that would explain the recent movement in the share price.

Abitex Resources Inc. reported that final assay results from the 2012 drilling program on the St. Stephen Nickel-Copper project in New Brunswick have been received and confirm additional nickel sulphide mineralization at the G and Hanson Brook zones as well as newly discovered nickel sulphide mineralization at the Todd Mountain target. Continental Nickel Limited has an option to acquire up to a 75 per cent interest in the project under the terms of an agreement with Abitex and is the operator during the earn-in period.

Sierra Wireless will release financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 after market close today.

Ballard Power Systems , which fell 6.5 per cent yesterday, posted a net loss of $8.4-million (U.S.) or $0.10 per share in the first quarter compared to a net loss of $10.5-million or $0.12 per share a year earlier.

Golden Star Resources Ltd. which touched year lows yesterday, announced today the completion of an economic assessment of the West Reef area of the Prestea Underground Mine.

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. which was slightly down at yesterday's close, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with NCIC Clinical Trials Group. Under the agreement, the NCIC Clinical Trials Group at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario will sponsor and conduct a randomized Phase II study of REOLYSIN in patients with advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer.

Vaaldiam Mining Inc. which was a cent below year highs yesterday, announced today its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company said it has recorded a net loss of $614,000 or $0.01 per share compared to a net loss of $7.6-million or $0.11 per share for the same period in 2011. It ended the period with cash of $3.7-million and working capital of $2.8-million.

GuestLogix Inc. which closed almost 2 per cent higher yesterday, announced today the deployment of its onboard retail technology platform including its handheld POS devices with rail operator First TransPennine Express.

Stella-Jones Inc. which has hit year highs yesterday, announced today its financial results for its first quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company said sales were $158.8-million, up 21.7 per cent from $130.5-million last year. Operating income was $24.1-million, versus $14.4-million in first quarter 2011. Net income went up 76.5 per cent to $15-million from $8.5-million last year.
