Fibrek Inc. announced that it has concluded an agreement for the sale of green energy produced at its cogeneration facilities in connection with Hydro-Quebec Distribution's Power Purchase Program. Meanwhile, Resolute Forest Products (formerly AbitibiBowater) announced that it owns 63.3 per cent of Fibrek and extended to 5 p.m. on May 17 the expiry time for its offer.



Absolute Software Corporation , which is trading shy of a year high $6.78, will host a conference call today at 2 pm PT (5 pm ET) to discuss its fiscal 2012 third-quarter financial results. A press release announcing the quarterly results will be issued at 1 pm PT, (4 pm ET).



Gazit America Inc. , which rose nearly 6 per cent on Friday, announced that its board of directors has formed a special committee to consider a preliminary proposal to take it private from Gazit-Globe Ltd. and First Capital Realty Inc.



Prism Medical Ltd. said net income for the quarter declined by 3.6 per cent to $0.81-million compared to $0.84-million in first-quarter 2011. Excluding noted IFRS adjustments, net income would have increased by 16.5 per cent ($0.7-million in first-quarter 2011 versus $0.8-million in first-quarter 2012).



Boxxer Gold Corp. announced that it has received an exploration permit from the Batchawana First Nation and that it plans to commence a minimum 2,000m diamond drilling program on its East Breccia copper-molybdenum (rhenium)-silver-tungsten property.



Arrowstar Resources Ltd. , near a year low 5 cents, provided a report on the company's progress over the past year and an outline of its exploration plans for the next six months, ahead of the company's annual general meeting scheduled for June 13, 2012.



Sprott Power Corp. announced today that for the three months ended March 31, 2012, net loss attributable to the shareholders was less than $0.1-million or $0.001 per share compared to net income attributable to the shareholders of $0.4-million or $0.011 per share. Revenue was $3.5-million compared to $2.1-million, an increase of $1.4-million or 66 per cent.





Cap-Ex Ventures Ltd. which closed down by 1.5 per cent on Friday announced today that the 2012 drilling program has commenced at its 100 per cent owned Block 103 Property in northwestern Labrador. The $10-million program is primarily focused on the continued investigation and definition of mineralization in the Greenbush Zone.





GuestLogix Inc. which was down by almost 2 per cent at Friday's close, announced today the opening of its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. The company said this reinforces its commitment to expand its global reach and better serve the Asia-Pacific airline market.





The Medipattern Corporation today announced that SonoCare, LLC has received Visualize:Vascular and will begin offering the 3D visualization procedure to patients through its 53 mobile sites serving communities in North and South Carolina. SonoCare brings cutting edge mobile imaging technology directly to the physician's office and direct to patients in residential settings.
